This part of the city was always the quietest compared to other area's, but then again - given the increased number of rockets here, especially those of the kind that were off duty or those who were heading out / or returning from their various tasks throughout the city. But given the lateness of the night there was just that small amount of hope that this would be more than was needed to avoid the last few stragglers should such a situation arise, or at least - that was the hopes of those who actually dared to enter this place for whatever reasons in which they may have. And the reasons in which had brought this particular rebel out here even now was certainly enough to outweigh the risks that may have normally prevented him from doing such a thing, but then again - even then would that have swayed his decision? Probably not.
That was all that brought the dark haired rebel into what was the housing complex for Followers and Rocket's alike, the vague yet distant memories of having made numerous trips much like this here for the very same reason. Though in truth, those situations had been far from like this one; so much time had past since last he had been here - so anything was possible to happen. "Your sure this is actually the right place Kai? You've been wrong before." Akira finally questioned, casting his wavering attention in the general direction of the Weavile that were trotting a short distance before him not that such a thing were a good idea. The result being a glare being cast by the sharp clawed dark being towards the human male in which he called friend: How dare he?! Did he even remember who he were talking to?
But then again, there was a good reason for such things to be questioned. It had been six months now, anything could have happened during that period of time. People change - hell, even Akira had, but considering all that had happened during that time it was little surprise but there was always the chance he could be disappointed right? Hopefully that was not the case, but it certainly didn't mean things were going to go any quicker considering it were the human half of this pair that were going - almost painfully - slow compared to the other.
That was the reasoning behind their slow progress through these small quiet streets, they both knew that much - but if there was one thing in which Akira wasn't quite ready to accept. He just wanted to make sure She was alright, provided he was not too late and that not that much had changed - if it had, then he would certainly be lost. Well; at least that was only because that damn human had some serious issues with his patience recently. It were just lucky it wasn't that much further to go before he didn't actually start having some form of tantrum - but then, that would just be plain funny. Under other circumstances anyway.
A quick examination of a now aged marking upon the exterior wall of the house in which the rebel pair had turned the corner to was all that the Weavile required to know he had been correct in his assumption that they were taking the correct route. That was all the dark pokemon needed to ensure that Akira was propped up against the wall within sight before it moved to the door they happened to stop by and begin rapidly - no, more like urgently - tapping it's oversized claws upon the wooden structure that stood between it and its chosen destination.

The girl had not been sleeping well the past few nights, she would stay up and wander around her large home, all of her pokemon stayed out of their pokeballs, as she felt less alone in her house that way. The home had a more victorian gothic style to it with long endless hallways with twists and turns, and elegant stair cases. Admins were provided with the best housing as sometimes they had the most difficult job. That was no lie, Thorn had been providing information to the rebels from the inside to the out. Lately there had been a lot of break ins to the rocket tower and Thorn knew she was the cause of it all. Yes she gave the mice the way in, but as the cat it meant she was on a prowel...a half ass one but one still the same. She looked at the clock on her wall, it was only Midnight and with work in just over 12 hours.... she shook her head ever so slightly before plopping back down in her chair. She normally fell asleep around four, but that was only because of pure exaustion.
Her eyes were begin to close ever so slightly as she heard a tapping noise. She woke up in a daze, and her Espeon nudged her hand ever so slightly. "What it was probably just the wind the knocker is so light that even I could move it with my psychic powers." Thorn wiggled her eyebrows and watched her espeon shake his head before he nudged her hand once more. "Okay okay." She stood up straightening herself out ever so slightly. Her blue eyes fell back on the clock. 2:33 AM. Who would be knocking on her door that early in the morning? She couldn't fathom who would need her but since she promised a few rebels that her home was their home it didn't surprise her really.
Her hand reached out for the bronze knob, she gave it a twist and opened the door. Her eyes widened ever so slightly as she looked the man up and down ever so slightly. Her eyes blinked twice before closing the door swiftly and looking at her Espeon. "It's Akira....but...it can't be I was told he..but he's here and..." Her espeon blinked at her , his tail waving. She had just slammed the door in his face. She opened it up once more, still in disbelief that he was standing right here in front of him. "Quick get in! The night patrol should coming my way within the next few minutes!" Thorn left the door open running towards her kitchen, if he had escaped from somewhere, or if he was locked away..he knew the rockets treated humans like animals thus her first order was getting some tea on the stove, and something for him to eat. "Please have a seat." She whispered.

He'd already started to become sceptical that his doubts about this being the right place; granted this was the right general area for any admins within the ranks of the rockets to live - from what he knew they were often given the better houses in which to reside considering their status within their ranks. But just because that was the case did it really mean that Thorn had one of these large houses to call her own? Or had she opted for something smaller than was habitable but simply functional? But there was certainly one thign in which he would know soon enough; and that was whether this particular house was the correct one or not - he would either be back inside one of those rocket facilities or inside this bulding. Personally he liked the second option better, or even if it were only a brief glimpse of Thorn before he were dragged off anywhere.
It had been with these thoughts passing through his mind that he nearly didn't register the door opening for several seconds, it were only when he felt eyes wandering over him did Akira turn his attention to the opening. The brief sight of the dark haired young woman within that had been the reason he had dragged himself out this way was more than enough to get him making an attempt to lunge at the door and prevent it from closing. "Thorn wait - " but it were too late, even before these words had passed his lips his way was barred once more by the wooden barrier that seperated them. Though the reaction was one he had at least been expecting it certainly didn't make it hurt any less than what it did, but all that mattered now was to get away from here before the next patrol came this way. Or he would have done if the door had not been opened again and she were telling him to get inside, that wasn't certainly not something he was going to argue with.
Dragging himself inside with his Weavile in tow, only when both were inside did Akira close the door behind them - though it did take a number of moments before he could work out just where Thorn had run off to, it was just a case of following the noises that led to the kitchen. Only upon getting there did a sigh dare threaten to escape him, did she really believe that was the main - or only - reason for his coming here? "I'm not hungry . . . . . really I'm not." he lied, as much as he probably didn't want to admit it Akira really didn't want her to be fussing over him like he was some child.
"Thorn, will you stop . . . . . I just wanted to see you, make sure you were alright." Akira spoke, well it probably sounded more like pleading but he at least tried to hide that. It was only then did he make attempts to reach out to grasp her arm, only daring to pull her nearer should she not decide to pull herself free of him.

"French toast? Or eggs? OH I can make omlets...that's a good choice. I just got fresh Swanna eggs and they make wonderful omlets." Thorn rushed towards the fridge as Akira commented that he wasn't hungry of course he was, Thorn was not blind, nor stupid. She could see where he had thinned out, she too but that was from stress not eating. She was about to to grab a bowl when she felt a tight hand on her wrist. She looked at him ever so slightly as she was drawn in. She didn't dare pull away as this was the only time in awhile that she had been relatively close to another human. Her breath caught short and as her head pressed against his chest. Her hands gave way and eggs fell the floor with a loud smash creating a large mess across her floor. She froze for just a moment not really sure what to do, but she found herself wrapping her arms around him and letting out a more than audible sob.
Rain was coming down incredibly heavy. Her blue eyes scanned through night vision goggles, all the admins had been on a mission, a rebel had been sighted with high activiity. The mission, catch him dead or alive. Through her hear piece she could hear logan rambling on about some kind of nonsense her eyes then spotted the running rebel in the streets trying to avoid them. "gotcha...." However as she got a closer look at him her jaw dropped. No...it couldn't be...
She tried to follow with high speed attempting to catch up to him before any of her own bosses did, but as she reached the city center to see him fallen and broken made her sick to her stomach. She watched as the cuffed him throwing him into the back of a black van...she knew where that black van went. Those who went in it, didn't come out alive. "NO AKIRA!!!!" Thorn reached out with a hand as if that would stop the van from taking off. She sat in the city center, the rain beating in her skin. The bruised admin fell on her side, letting tears fall down her face. He was gone...she couldn't save him like she had promised to do. "I'll help the other rebels in your name akira...I promise"
"They took you Akira...and and and and the van I know that van those who go in it never come out alive...." She blinked back tears holding onto him even tighter than before. He was here now though right that's what mattered? She lifted her head up for just a moment. Her watery blue eyes locked on with his. "I thought they had killed you Akira..."

Now why was he not surprised about her continued ramblings about various foodstuffs? He should have really known better that there was little to no chance that she would actually believe his lies, she wasn't stupid in any way especially considering his current state - he probably looked just as bad as he felt. Akira nearly laughed at it all; at least under other circumstances he more than likely would have done - but now? Well that was certainly the last thing upon his mind. He almost released his grasp upon her - up until her blue orbs shifted to focus themselves upon him, that certainly made the rebel male glad he hadn't - not when she she buried her face into his chest and arms were wrapped around him. Only then did he move his arms to wrap around Thorn, the thought of allowing her to move away was certainly not something he was planning on doing quite yet - not after all that had happened the last time they had seen each other.
Of all the times he had found himself running from rockets it had never been one where all the admins were present, despite all the possible rebels that there were around it was a rarity for more than one of the to be on any one mission. But the knowledge that they were . . . . well that had given him more reasons than most to make attempts to keep ahead of them; avoid them as long as possible and escape. Should the worst have happened he hadn't wanted her to see that, not her last thoughts of him being ones that would no doubt haunt her.
The only problem was; he had been too focused upon this than where he were actually going. One moment he had been been running down yet another street to avoid another set of rockets, the next Akira had found himself struggling for breath and having blows repeatedly rained down upon him by the pookemon that had towered over him as he lay in the mud. All was a blur after that; everything except his name being yelled over the heavy rain and the final sight of Thorn a she were thrown into the van, He's tried so hard to get out of that van before it arrived at it's destination - but by that time it had been too late. The tightening of her arms around him and after hearing her referance to that night simply resulted in his finger's lightly seeking out her neck and progressing to rest upon a cheek as she lifted her head to lock eyes with him. "Well, they were doing something wrong then - i'm still alive." Sure it was a feeble attempt at a joke given the circumstances, but true all the same. But despite that Akira couldn't bring himself to laugh or smile, rather finding himself resting his forehead against her's almost in an attempt in which to prevent her from looking away and finding himself attempting to wipe away any tears that stained her features.. "So do you want the good news then? Your stuck with me now, I won't be going anywhere just yet I hope."

So do you want the good news then? Your stuck with me now, I won't be going anywhere just yet I hope." Thorn blinked her eyes when he dried her tears. She looked at him with soft blue eyes ones that you would ever question belonging to a rocket. Those eyes looked like they belonged to someone of passion, of truth, of bravery, someone who would be willing to fight in what they believe in, and if you didn't know the petite girl, you would even question that she belonged to such a tyranny of a company. She would have you fooled. She raised a hand placing it on his cheek. What did he go through? What kind of harm did they do to him. "Akira..." She whispered. Ever since they had gotten together it meant nothing but trouble for him. Yet here he still was in front of her and that meant a lot to her. He kept coming back to her. She closed her eyes tightly recalling everything they had ever gone through.
"You can stay as long as you like. You know there's always a place for you in my home. ALWAYS." She looked at the clock briefly and realized just how exhausted she was. She forced back a yawn, her eyes growing heavy. Being held by him put her in such a relaxed state of mind. HE was the only one he had been worrying about and now she didn't have to worry a moment longer. He was here, she was here, they were together...but it also made her realize how precious life truly was. You had to hold onto it tightly or it could get away. Life could slip away from you at any moment. She herself had a few life or death situations herself and knew it was such a precious and delicate thing.
She brought her lips gently to his cheek, she felt as if he had never been gone. She pulled away from him a smile on her face, not large but enough for him to know she was happy. Eyes sparkling she hugged him once more before pulling away. "Welcome Home."

All Akira could find himself doing was simply going silent and watching the petite female before him, although he saw even from his sudden appearance at her home there obviously was still something between them but there was always that feeling that too much had happened for things to be fixed. That was one thing that despite his desires to want to come in search of her had given him cause to question whether doing such a thing would cause more damage than actual good; so to have actually gotten this far in the hopes that this would not have been the case was certainly a big thing. But now that Akira was actually here - with Thorn - and to take note of her reaction certainly relaxed any concerns he may have previously had, especially when her hand were placed upon his cheek it were then he took note of the brief closing of soft blue eyes. He could only imagine her mind at work in attempts to figure out just what he had been through, not that he actually wanted her to be considering such things though he were glad she did not question what had happened.
You can stay as long as you like. You know there's always a place for you in my home. ALWAYS If Akira had not been simply glad to be within her company even if it turned out to be just for one night, to hear her say this certainly gave him reason to relax further before managing a small smile then placing lips upon her forhead for a few moments. At least until the movement of having Thorn turn her attention towards the clock it were only after following her eyes did he take a mental note of just how late it was, a certain degree of guilt filling him in the knowledge of having kept her awake so late [or early] and preventing her from sleeping. But then again; he hadn't heard her complain yet and she did seem to be surprisingly relaxed in his arms up until her lips came into contact with his cheek and giving him a hug before pulling herself back away from him.
"It's good to be home. But you need to sleep, i'll clean up the mess in here." It wasn't quite a query, more a statement - it was hte least that he could do after arriving so unexpectedly, this made more evident as he dared to make an attempt to move her towards the doorway and in the direction of her bedroom.
