It was pretty dark out as he made his way past the Rocket guards that were station outside of the Bicycle Path, the hood of his black jacket was tossed up as he pressed his body against the shadow covered wall. He made sure to slowly move himself along it as to make any sudden sounds that would draw attention to his location, they had certainly stepped things up since his last visit to this little location but five years of experience gave him a certain level of understanding of how the Rockets handle their security detail. They always had two guards station outside of the area they were guarding with cameras moving from left to right. The camera were pretty easy for him to deal with when you had a Camerupt who could spew lava all over their screens. Granted they had certainly bad the cameras stronger because they hadn't melted like he thought they would, but they were covered in the hot molten spew so it gave him the perfect chance to sneak pass.
The guards were far too easy to move past, child's play for him compared to the cameras he had just dealt with. While it surely would have been easier to knock them out it was more fun to sneak past them like he was some form of ninja, and when he had finally finished moving past them on the wall he removed himself from it and began a slow walk inside of the checkpoint that stood between him and the wild Pokemon. He ducked behind one of the counters as a couple of guards began to walk towards his direction, they had luckily for Michael not noticed him. Michael bit down on his bottom lip as he began to move along the low hanging wall, he could taste victory inside of his mouth as he made it towards the exit.
He careful climbed over the low wall he had been crawling under and made it through the checkpoint on and onto the actual route. A smile spread across his face as his body relaxed slightly and he began to wander towards a fresh path of grass moving around in it and making sure to keep his eyes for both Rockets and any wild Pokemon that he might want to add to his team. He hadn't excepted this to go as well as it had for him but he wasn't about to argue with the amount of good luck that was shining on him tonight. His hands traveled towards his hood and tossed it off his blonde hair bouncing down in front of his face obscuring his light amber eyes from view, his feet moved further down the large patch of grass.
He kept walking until the sound of movement could be heard from nearby and his body began to tense up as he moved towards the source of the movement. He was either about to have a wild Pokemon battle on his hands or he was about to go toe to toe with a Rocket, he was really hoping for the latter though he could use another Pokemon in his little team. |

The furret popped its head out of the grass, there was no food around here either and thanks to the rockets it had no home to return to. The furret continued to search through what little trees and bushes there were left outside the city.

It actually turned out to be a Pokemon that was making all the noise and a Furret at that, Michael stopped his moving to watch the little Pokemon move about the grassy field with ease most likely looking for something eat. The young man let his arms crossed watching the Pokemon careful as he thought about capturing it or not, it was certainly a fast Pokemon and it made for the lack of speed his Camerupt had but was it worth catching? Michael only had two Pokeballs and the amount of money they charged to get new ones was something he didn't see himself making any time soon, he'd have to be really careful about the Pokemon he allowed to join his growing team. Besides while it might have been fast he didn't think it would deal out much damage when it came to tussling with the Pokemon Team Rocket were using now a days. He gave a brief sigh before turning away from the Pokemon and heading further down the path. He'd have to pass on that one, but maybe the Furret would get lucky and another rebel would come by and catch it.

With an almighty roar the poison type announced it's victory over the smaller, much more fragile looking Meowth that had dared to try and snack on his small hoard of berries. With a thrust of his head the Nidorino used the poison tipped horn on it's forehead to fling the limp normal type to the side, giving an impatient huff through his nose upon seeing the feline pathetically stumble away. Well, that was that. Feeling victorious he moved to the small pile of berries in the grass, nudging a few of them that had scattered to the side back into the pile with a somewhat gentle touch. He might not have had any time for scavengers on his territory but he certainly had the patience to organise his food and make sure it was all accounted for.

He'd hate to admit it but he was actually starting to get boring with all this walking and looking around, it had been a whole thirty minutes since his encounter with the Furret and he had yet to run into another wild Pokemon, or at least hear signs of a Pokemon in the area near him. Maybe he should have just caught the Furret and called it a day? Something was far better than walking away with nothing at all, at least that way he could say he had actually done something with his night aside from prove how crappy the Rockets still were at keeping Rebels out of places they shouldn't be getting into. Though as these thoughts began to enter into the young man's mind the body of a Meowth came flying out from an area of the grass that was pretty close to where he had been standing, the small cat Pokemon had clearly just been through some kind of struggle as its body was littered with cuts and bruises from a battle it had just likely lost.
He watched as the small cat Pokemon lifted itself off the ground slowly and began to limp away from whatever had just beaten it, defeat probably leaving a better taste in the Meowth's mouth. The cat Pokemon was of little interest to Michael though, what did peek his interest was the Pokemon that had taken it down. His feet began to move, taking him towards the location the Meowth had been tossed from a smile wrapping itself around his lips as he watched the Nidorino nudge at the berries it had clearly been defending. This was certainly the kind of Pokemon he could see becoming the second member of his team, but beating a Meowth didn't exactly prove that it could handle itself. The blonde's hand pulled the Pokeball that was attached to his waist free pressing the center button on it so the ball enlarged to its normal size within his hand.
Only one way to see if this Nidorino had what it took to be a member of Michael's personal army of Pokemon and that was to see how it handled his powerful Camerupt. "Scorch let's see what this Nidorino is made of." Michael said as he tossed the Pokeball and it landed against the ground with a thud before opening itself up and letting the Pokemon inside appear in a flash of red light. Afterwards the ball bounced itself back into Michael's hand and he listened as his Camerupt let out a powerful roar flames spewing up from the mini volcanoes on his back. "Flame Burst!" the ordered was yelled softly, he didn't want to draw too much attention to his location when it came to this battle.
Once the order was given the fire type Pokemon opened up its mouth and shot forth a fireball towards the Nidoran at point blank range, no need to get all complicated with its method of attack right now he was only testing the waters.
