► OVERALL APPEARANCE ► With her height, comes an air of intimidation. This, however, is in no part related to her personality. It's all in the way she looks. She has a slim, athletic build, which her close friends will tell you is a miracle. Cynthia absolutely adores ice cream. How she manages to stay so thin is a mystery in itself. The intimidation factor can be related back to her often serious, or somber appearance. In truth, she's probably simply lost in thought. Her time as Champion shows in the manner she holds herself. She almost never slouches, always standing at her full height. Based on the way she appears on the outside, she doesn't seem all that friendly.
Cynthia's skin is pale, no matter how much time she spends in the sun. It hardly soaks up color, yet she can be in the sun no problem, without being too concerned about burning. Her face is made of soft angles, making it so that she doesn't seem too harsh. She simply has very defined features, which give her a graceful air about her. She isn't known as the onyx-eyed Champion for no reason. Her eyes seem to change color from day to day. This relates to onyx, as the stone can range from any red color, to white, brown and black. Her eyes have been known to be gray-toned shades of just about every other eye color you could imagine. It is actually a rare occurrence that her eyes be plain gray, as she was born with. Framing her soft features is long blonde hair, which drift into a sort of curl in various places. Her hair is naturally curly, which is seen at the base. Her hair reaches to about the back of her knees, where it flicks up slightly, showing the curled nature. Most of the rest of her hair is so long and heavy that it straightens a large portion of her hair. However, as her hair is cut in different layers, soft waves can be seen throughout it, giving her her own style. On each side of her face, are pieces of hair that are shorter than most of her hair, but longer than her bangs. They flick out slightly, preferring to rest on her shoulders. She has bangs that sweep over her left eye. She can often be seen gently tossing them from her view.
Her most recognizable outfit is, of course, her black slacks, black v-neck shirt, black v-neck half-jacket with a long tail, decorated with the teardrop, furred sleeves, jacket tail and neck piece, black boots, and the black and yellow decorations in her hair. This was the outfit she frequently wore as Champion, and the one that is easiest to identify her by. She is still known to wear that outfit on occasion, though not as much as she did. Her outfit varies from day to day, depending on what she feels like wearing. She may have been champion, but she's just like any other woman. Sometimes, she prefers tight jeans, others, she wants nothing more than a cozy pair of pyjama pants to relax in.
Cynthia has both her ears pierced, as well as her belly button. She has a teardrop shaped ring on her bellybutton, which is a soft blue-purple. There is a small tattoo on her ankle, a little Master Ball with a gold ribbon twirled around it. Not many people know of it, but it signifies her time as the Champion of the Sinnoh region.

Mythology - Ultimately the reason she gave up her days as reigning Champion. Though she greatly enjoyed her time as number one, and all the challenges she faced getting there, after a few years she decided she wanted to spend more time studying the myths of the Legendary Pokemon.
Ice cream - Alas, it's true. This ex-Champion is rather addicted to the familiar dairy treat. If it were possible, she would probably choose to live on nothing but ice cream. She is aware, however, of the effect such a thing would have on her. It is for this reason that, with every ice cream, she forces herself to do some sort of physical activity, even though she doesn't exactly want to.
Connecting with people and Pokemon - Nothing matters more to the ex-Champion of the Sinnoh region than a strong bond with others, whether they be people or Pokemon. Long before, she was just as any other young trainer, pushing her Pokemon to their limits, determined to be the best. Although she still pushes her Pokemon, she understands just how important the bonds you share with them are. She shares her thoughts with others, determined to spread her knowledge to young trainers, so that they may develop to the best of their abilities.
Steven Stone - Without a doubt the best friend she has ever had, she puts a lot of trust in this man. From telling him just about everything that goes on in her head, to following him out of the Champion life-style to follow him in his journey to keep his father's business going, she'd do just about anything for this man. You'd best not do something that would bring him harm, or you'll be faced with the wrath of Cynthia to deal with.

Team Rocket - Indeed, she quite nearly despises them. Cynthia tries no to let a word as strong as hate enter her thoughts, but if there is anything that she does indeed hate, it would be this organization. They violate just about everything she stands for, which means they have no respect from her. And respect means a lot to Cynthia. Not to mention Team Rocket as destroyed a lot of what she found most beautiful in the region of Kanto.
Brussels sprouts - As bizarre as it may sound, it's true. There is something about these little green pretend-cabbages she simply doesn't like. If you asked her why, however, she wouldn't be able to tell you. It's simply a fact.
Feeling useless - Once reigning Champion, Cynthia can't stand it when she feels as though she is powerless to help those who need it. She knows, in her heart, that she can't change the world all by herself. This doesn't mean she isn't damn well going to try.
Mornings - Oh great Arceus above, she is not a morning person. She would sleep the whole day away if it wasn't for her Gabite, who comes to get her up if she hasn't started moving at a reasonable time. Which is pretty much every day. Known to groan, roll over and cover her head with a pillow, getting this woman to wake up at the start of the day may just be the single most difficult task you will ever face. Ever.
► FEARS & PHOBIAS ►
Fear of Thunder and Lightening - Cynthia is indeed, a little bit Astraphobic. The weirdest part of it is, she is alright with Electric type attacks. In fact, she admires the Electric type. She cannot, however handle the lightening that strikes down from the sky. She'll shudder or jump at every strike, and becomes easily agitated, even panicky during storms. She's been known to huddle under her blankets to escape the noises and the flashes of light.
Unease in regards to cemeteries - Though she isn't quite Taphophobic, she would much rather stay far away from cemeteries. There is something about them that leaves her extremely on edge. One of her worst nightmares, which is a reoccurring one, happens to have her buried alive, which could be the trigger that upsets her in regards to cemeteries.
Fears she isn't good enough - An odd fear indeed, but it developed during her conquest to become Champion of the Sinnoh region. She kept thinking that she wouldn't be strong enough, or talented enough to stake her place in what had once been a man's title. After achieving the title, it was a matter of whether she would be able to hold it or not. Now she fears she won't be able to uphold the reputation that follows her. None the less, she tries her hardest to protect those who need her protection, and continues to improve her skills, even after stepping down as Champion to pursue her other dream.

Unearth and understand more on the Legends - It's understandable that she'd want to be able to unearth more in regards to the very thing that had her leave her post as Sinnoh's Champion. She's often found studying, wandering sites of importance, hoping to spot something.
Dislodge Team Rocket - She can't stand what they're doing, and although she hasn't done anything about it yet, preferring not to get tangled up in it all, she'll begin acting on this later.

Spontaneously Bursts into Song and/or Dance - She is one to randomly begin humming tunes in public areas, simply because she forgets she is in public. Thank Arceus that her dancing generally only occurs in the safety of her home... The area you will find her dancing about or singing the most is when she is in the kitchen. When her mind is caught up in doing something, her voice and body tend to just want to do their own thing.

Cynthia can be a very fun, outgoing person. She loves to be amongst people most of the time, and knows how to have a wicked time. However, if you're going to spend a lot of time with her, you'll come to know both of her sides. Watch out, however, as she can't help but love to tease people she cares about, or knows well. It's all fun and games, isn't it? Amongst the fun loving girl, you'll find a deep, caring nature. She instinctively cares for everything and everyone. This isn't to say it will stay that way, however. A lot of things are based around respect with this particular young woman. She believes strongly in the respect is rewarded with respect aspect of life. In her books, everyone starts off with the same level of respect. She doesn't think lowly or highly of anyone she meets. It's up to you to decide where you stand in her books.
Over all, Cynthia is a very collected woman. There is rarely a time when she's disorganized. Her emotions can also be a little hard to read, unless it's her anger. She is slightly opinionated about certain subjects, and often does not hesitate to let you know you're doing something she doesn't like. This leads people to describe her as blunt, especially when angered. She won't try to sugar coat things. As far as she is concerned, if there is something that needs to be said, it should be said, regardless of what the other thinks.
When it comes to protecting others, Cynthia can become a little bit reckless. She wouldn't hesitate to throw herself into a tussle if she fears some one might need any sort of help. Cynthia has been known to put others before herself, and occasionally needs to be reminded that she's only human, and should consider her health and safety. Don't be alarmed if she should turn and snap at you. When you contradict something she does, or says, she might just think you're telling her she's flat out wrong. She can be a little on the hard-headed side, easily labelled as stubborn. Once she has her mind set on something, it is hard to get her to stop, or think differently.
All in all, however, Cynthia takes great pride in what she does. Nothing makes her happier than helping others. However, there are times when you'd think she were a completely different person. What she doesn't always realize, however, is that sometimes, the problem can be fixed by letting someone in.
