Sage sighed, clearing yet another table. He was getting the feeling tonight was going to be a very busy, busy night. Really. All the rockets coming and going, and other patrons. It as just an extremely busy night. When he lifted the tray of dirty dishes from the table he just cleared he gasped, struggling to keep from dropping it. He turned looking at who dared smack his ass and frowned at the man. Whoever it was--was drunk. You could smell the beverage on him. He only listened to part of the slurred words, something about "being a pretty woman to be working here" or something to that affect.. "Sorry Sir, you have me confused with a lady." he stated bluntly. The words seemed to sober him up enough to let Sage make a retreat. Taking the tray to the back he emptied it off, wiped down the tray then set it to a side. Glancing out as the very man was seated at the table he just cleared with a few of his buddies.
With a breath, Sage grabbed his tablet, towel over his arm, picked up some menu's then he headed back out. He offered a very warm smile, despite not liking the man, when he reached the table "Welcome to the Cat's Eye, would you like to start with beverages?" he asked as he offered them the menu's. When they were taken he watched as they skimmed over the beverages, and was soon asked to bring out their strongest. Sage blinked, but smiled, "I'm sorry sir's, the strongest we have is what you would call a club soda..." he didn't say it in a demeaning tone, just an honest tone. They only had soda's, and juices, and things like that. This was a restaurant, not a bar or pub or anything like that.
They seemed to get upset and the one who had smacked his rear earlier stood and Sage blinked, taking a step back as he came closer, His smile didn't waver though, "I can happily bring you something else..." He was a bit stunned when he was smacked for his words his head had turned, and next thing he noticed was a fist coming. Oh god, his eyes closed tightly.

A large, rough hand reached out and caught the fist. The man's muscles tensed as he stopped the swing a few inches from the waiter's face. "Now, boys, we aren't children. We don't start fights with others without a reason. Your reason for starting this is a very childish one indeed," he grunted as he shoved the rocket back. He glared with his one eye at the men and stroked his beard.
"I would suggest leaving before Zuko, here," he motioned to his Charmeleon, "sends you running away with your bottoms lit up."
He heard a small laugh from one of the men and he quickly sent him sprawling out onto the floor, his own fist clinched. "Do I need to repeat myself? Or should I drag you all back to Head Quarters and show you how I do my job?" he asked, grabbing another man by the front of his shirt and tossing him out of his seat and towards the door.
The men scrambled to their feet, one of them holding their face as blood dripped through their fingers. They turned and quickly walked out of the restaurant.
With that, Hikaru turned and looked down at the waiter. "Sorry about those idiots. It seems a lot of Team Rocket has been acting like that lately," he growled, resting his hand on Zuko's head.

Sage was pretty sure he should of been hit by now. Really, what was going on? He chanced a peak to find a taller guy stopped the fist from hitting him. Sage blinked a few times to stunned to move or say anything about what was transpiring in front of him. It was mere moments later that the three were off and out the door to head else where..
Then the guy turned and spoke to him, and it took Sage a moment to come out of his stupor, "O-oh! No worries.." he flashed a brilliant smile, moving, he used the towel he had, wiped the table down, cleaned up the few things that were upset from all of that... He'd have to get a mop for the blood, he wasn't getting blood on his towel he used, "Uhm.. H-have a seat... Could I get you something to drink?" He really wasn't sure how to act around this guy for some reason. Having witnessed all that just sent tingles down his spine and he felt childish for having a 'fan girl crush' on this guy for pretty much saving him from a beat-down. He picked up two of the three menu's to just keep himself busied, and glanced to the charmeleon for a moment before looking at the man again and offered a warm smile, "I can get something for your friend here as well if you'd like." Really, no usually served pokemon, but Sage cared enough to do so if and when the few times rockets had them out with them.
Sage then could do the only thing left, stand there and try not to seem to awkward, but he felt like he was failing at that!

He heard the stuttering in the young male's voice and rolled his eyes. He took a seat at the table, his Charmeleon sitting down on the floor so that the fire on its tail didn't burn anything. Hikaru waited for the waiter to finish talking and as he waited, he moved a hand to his beard and began stroking it again. His brown eye moved to look at the menu.
"Water. For both of us," he said making a motion towards his Charmeleon, whom had a small puff of smoke leave his nose. That would make sense for the two of them. Both, Hikaru and Zuko, were in good shape. Hikaru was well muscled with broad shoulders and looked as if he could take down the rebels just by himself. Zuko had a good shine to him and his eyes were bright. The Charmeleon's claws and fangs were as sharp as they could get. But there was something that was off between the two. An emotion in the eyes. Anger.
Hikaru always seemed to be angry, but most anyone would be if they grew up like he did. And most pokemon would take after their trainers, like Zuko has with Hikaru. Anger was always coursing through them and they were always angry at one thing or another. Well, unless they were alone or around just pokemon. Maybe just people made them angry.
"Not many pokemon in here, is there, Zuko?" he asked. His fire pokemon replied with a simple 'Char'. This made Hikaru give a slight smirk as he looked around the Cat's Eye.

Sage nodded giving a smile, "I'll be back with it soon then." It would give him time to look over the menu anyhow. So with another soft smile he turned and went to the back. Soon as he was out of sight, a hand went through his hair, the other lightly touched his still slightly stinging cheek. Really who slaps someone? Or did that guy still insist he'd been a girl? He went and got the glasses, putting a few chunks of ice in each before filling them with water.
When he finished he returned to the table, smiling as he set the glass down for the man, and offered the other glass to Zuko, the Charmeleon. "If you'd like, I could get a stool, there's no back to it so he could join you at the table?" he asked, glancing to the man once more...
Oh lord he never said.... "Oh, I apologize, I'm your waiter Sage." he smiled again... "Have you had enough time with the menu and are ready to order?"

He took the glass and took a large gulp of the cool liquid. He sighed as he put the drink back on the table, some droplets still on his mustache. He looked at the Charmeleon then at the waiter. He scratched his chin then nodded. "Yes, a stool would be nice for him," he stated before he glanced at the menu once again.
He thought for a moment. "What's good here? Surely you must have some suggestions," he answered, looking back at the young male. He examined Sage as he waited for an answer. Long hair. Very pale. Skinny. No wonder the drunk rockets thought he was a female. The only thing that proved that he wasn't was his super small chest. Plus he didn't have a girl's figure.
Zuko was staring around the restaurant, mainly looking at what little pokemon were there. A Pichu. A Golduck. And a Deino. All eating happily with their trainers. "Char. Char."

Sage gave a nod, he'd bring the stool out soon as he was finished here, he smiled softly, "Well it all depends on if you're a vegan, vegetarian, or not?" the answer he gave would depend on the options he gave. Really there was no sense telling them the steak was good if they were a vegetarian, it made little to no sense. He glanced to the Charmeleon for a moment giving a soft smile before looking back to the other man.. He was kind of cute in his own right. Granted he was a tougher looking pokemon more than the cute-cute ones. But it just made Sage itch to have his Doduo out, but he knew he couldn't. For one thing he was on the big side to be inside here and loose. That and the bird-type was to overactive to really be good to have loose in the restaurant.

Hikaru snapped his head back to the waiter. "Do I look like I'm a vegan or vegetarian? I didn't get a build like this because I ate all plants and no meat," he corrected the boy, clinching his fist. Even so, he wasn't doing it to hit him. He was just doing it out of anger and to prove his point. Especially since his muscles could be seen in his purple and silver outfit.
He tossed the menu at him, causing some other people in the place to turn and look for a second. "Get me a burger. Biggest one you have. And some pokemon chow for Zuko," he grunted, unclenching his fist and taking another gulp of his water.

Sage gulped, "Well, I never like to assume.." he stated softly, averting his gaze. Really, he didn't know for sure--that's why he asked. He wanted to be sure he was offering the right things... But soon a menu was tossed at him and he managed to catch it... "Of course.." He took a breath, jotting it down, then He didn't want to ask him what he wanted on the burger... Ugh, he knew he should ask.. "How would you like it?" he smiled, "All burgers generally come with pickle, onion, cheese, mustard, and ketchup. You can also choose if you want it rare, medium, or well done." he spoke warmly, giving a smile, never one to loose his upbeat even after getting scolded--or close enough to being scolded. His upbeat nature was the only reason he was probably still here working he could take a lot of verbal abuse and not loose his temper. Heck, he was even smacked tonight and it hadn't put him in a foul mood.
After he received how he wanted his burger he jotted it all down smiling warmly, "I'll be right back with the stool, the food should be out shortly after, if you need anything just let me know." he smiled once more as he finally turned. Heading back into the kitchen area. He turned in the order for the burger and the pokemon chow, then headed to where the stools were kept. He fetched one, getting one of the ones that were about medium height and also grabbed a cushion for it, since really they were a bit uncomfortable to sit on for any period of time since they were just wood tops. Soon as he had both he brought both items out to the table, giving a warm smile as he was setting the stool down and setting the cushion on top of the seat part, "Here you go Zuko." speaking to the pokemon since he had overheard the name being said a couple times if not more all ready. He didn't mind speaking directly to a pokemon, while not able to "really" answer, he knew they understood plenty.

"Medium with everything on it," he said. He scratched his cheek as the waiter walked off and looked at his charmeleon, who was slowly drinking the water with both of his hands around the glass.
Zuko perked up a bit as the waiter came back with a stool and offered it to him. He hopped up from the floor and put the glass carefully on the table before climbing up onto the stool with little difficulty. He picked up the glass with both hands again and sat there, turning whenever he heard another pokemon.
"You know, I don't understand people like you. How can you be so happy after everything that has happened within the past twenty minutes?" Hikaru asked, looking at the waiter again.

Sage smiled watching the Charmeleon, staying near by in case he had needed any help getting up on the stool, but he hadn't so he took a step but paused looking to the man, he smiled warmly, "Well, getting upset about it won't help anything. IT would just leave me feeling miserable." he smiled warmly still, "So I just find it easier to let things go so I can move on with my day." he gave another smile, before he went to another table that the patrens waved to him from.
It wasn't his table to wait on and he couldn't help but wonder where was the waitress? He didn't question it though, and gave a nod to them taking empty glasses for refills, "all right, I'll return with your drinks in just a moment." He went to get them refilled, filling them with the beverages they requested and soon brought them back, "Sorry for your wait" he smiled warmly then went back to tending to his other tables.
He couldn't help but wonder why the man had asked him that. Why hold onto things anyhow? It just made someone upset and brood. Brooding didn't accomplish anything. If he were to break down over it, he wouldn't be able to finish working which wouldn't be good for his place of work.
He took care of a few more refills, and taking down a table a group left from, actually pushing double-time to cover the other girls tables. Wherever that waitress went, it better of been for a good reason! Not that he would complain, it wasn't in him to complain.
When he finished taking down another table there was a ding about an order up. He went back to load off the dishes and picked up the order. For the guy and his pokemon.
He soon returned, smiling warmly, "Here you go, sorry for the wait." He set the plate of pokemon chow down infront of Zuko speaking gently, "Some fire type chow, for Zuko here, and.." he set the burger down in front of the man, "A Medium burger with the works." Sage gave another warm smile, "Can I get anything else for you?"

He waited patiently for the waiter to return. Sage.... that wasn't a very male name. He wondered why his parents gave it to him. And why he looked so feminine in the first place. Even so, he wasn't going to ask. His mind trailed off to what he had said about not getting upset. Hikaru had always been the one to get upset easily. Even now, which was clear.
He turned his attention back when he heard Zuko's name and saw the food being set in front of them. "Thanks. We're good here," he said. He took a bite of his burger and ate it at his own pace. It wasn't quick, but wasn't slow either. After all, he was a busy man. He had rebels to interrogate. He had to beat the hell out of them if they didn't listen. He had to cause as much pain as possible without killing them.
By the time he was done eating, Zuko was just finishing up as well. His plate was empty besides a few drops of juice, ketchup, and other little things. He took out his wallet and laid down some cash to pay for his meal and to leave a tip. "Hey, waiter, Come get this money," he called towards Sage.

Sage was just finishing clearing up a table when he heard the call and he smiled warmly, "Be there in just a moment" he smiled warmly, taking care of the tray of dirty dishes he came over, "Will you need anything else?" he asked the pair smiling warmly, hey sometimes someone had second thoughts and wanted a dessert. Really he was just fine with him heading off, he was to get off work soon anyhow.
Getting the answer, he smiled warmly, "I'll be right back with your receipt." He went to the register shortly there after, took care of getting the payment processed, then brought over the receipt, "I hope you enjoyed your meal, and we'd love to have you return to the Cat's Eye." he smiled warmly, hands holding a tray, ready to clean finish up working, thankfully the other waitress and his replacement waiter arrived, so he would be out on time for once.
When he returned to the main area the guy was gone at least from the table, pretty sure he left Sage set about cleaning up the table, humming a bit to himself as he did so. Once done, he took the tray back, then he came back to the table to fetch the cushion and the stool and also returned those to the back. After that the small smock-like apron around his waist was taken off and he clocked out.
With a sigh he headed out the employee entrance. He sighed softly once outside, taking a deep breath to help relax himself. Stretching as he started to head down the alley to get to the main walk so he could head home--as he had no other plans.
But he didn't make it. He winced his arm had been grabbed and he was whirled around and slammed into the brick wall. He cringed trying to get the air back into his lungs since it's been forced out.. "W-wha-?" he winced when he was forcefully kissed. He pushed back against whoever it was. It tasted like alcohol. When the other was back far enough he frowned. The same guy from before! What did he do just wait for him to get off work!?
Sage was upset--but not angry--wincing as he was pushed against again, painfully getting pinned against the wall.. "S-stop!" he cried out rather loudly, feeling hands trying to roam, he struggled against him. He didn't mind persay he was being felt up--He was into men after all--but it was the fact 1-he didn't really know this drunkard, and 2-said drunkard was only interested because he thought he was a girl!
Sage pushed against him harder than the time before, "Let me go!" he cried out, turning to bolt, to have a hand grab his arm as he tried to flee. This time he was pressed face-first against the wall, Sage was about to fight back again when he felt something cold and sharp against his throat. Sage's eyes widened for a moment. Really? A Knife!? Sage whimpered eyes closing tightly, dear god what was he suppose to do? Maybe if he stayed still and stopped struggling he'd get through this with his life....

A hand reached around, instantly grabbing the knife around the blade, his hand splattering blood against the wall and Sage's neck and face. He moved the guy's hand and quickly pushed Sage half way into the wall and towards the ground. He wasn't too worried about what bruises and scrapes this little waiter would get at the moment. There was a knife involved.
Once the waiter was out of danger, Hikaru let go of the knife and shoved the guy away. "You're a damn idiot. You're not getting away this time. Pulling a knife on an unarmed human being. How cowardly can you get? I'll show you why I'm in the rank I am for Team Rocket. I'll show you why the others avoid me," he growled, his one brown eye wide with anger.
His hand was still bleeding as he took out his own knife. "Well, you want a knife fight? Come on, then. Bring it on," he said, walking over threateningly. He leaned down and felt the man slice the side of his neck. He stabbed his knife into the man's shoulder. He heard the guy scream out in shock.
"I ain't going easy on you. You're not a part of Team Rocket anymore. We don't aim for Followers. We aim for Rebels. And you have no proof this man is a Rebel. You don't have any hint that he may be a Rebel," he shouted down at the man. He raised his foot and slammed it down onto the man's ribs. Cracking could be heard.
"Zuko, flamethrower," he said, holding the man down with his foot. The way lit up as the blast of fire shot out from the Charmeleon's mouth. It hit the guy's legs, a pain filled shriek now leaving the drunken man.
He kicked him. "Again, Zuko," he commanded. The Charmeleon obeyed, the blast of fire now reaching his left arm. Another shriek. "Again," he yelled. The fire hit the man's face, burning half of it.
"Now, you can drag your self away for help. You're nothing but scum. If you show up at the rocket's base, I promise I wont hold back," he said, kicking the man again. He raised his foot and stomped on the man's arm, breaking it easily. He picked him up and grabbed the back of his head, slamming it into the brick wall.
"No. If I see you in this city again, I will kill you. Leave," he shouted. He then dropped him, the man broken and bleeding. He could see tears running down the man's face and see the heavy breathing.
After that, Hikaru turned and looked at Sage, a scowl still on his face. He didn't say anything.

Something warm and wet splattered against his neck and face--and probably on his shirt as well--that made him tense. But a shove took place and he hit the ground on his hands and knees, eyes shot open as he turned to look over. Just what, what what... What did he do to have this guy keep coming after him--and then--what did he do to deserve this guy to continuously save him from this other guy?
Sage had slipped into a sitting position pressing back against the wall to watch what was happening to stunned to move or say anything. Really in the moment he didn't even think of trying to wipe the drying blood off his face. It was a mild thing that didn't need his attention.
Seems the guy had his own knife, and Sage could only watch--as best described--in horror. His mind was barely registering what was going on in front of him. There was screaming but Sage barely heard it. There was fire, more screams, but it just went by as a blur to Sage.
Sage was still frozen when the man finally turned to him. Slowly looking up he blinked slowly a few times, not realizing he was trembling as he sat there...
But eventually, hands pushed against the brick wall as he slowly forced himself to stand up. He slowly stepped closer even despite his trembling body... "thanks...but...let me repay the favor?" he asked softly... After all he was bleeding... And it was his fault, least Sage felt it was his fault...
Sage hesitated for just a moment before his hands moved gently taking hold of this guy's hand, since really he couldn't reach Mr. Talls neck without really stretching and it would be pointless by then to be able to help. But back to the task at hand! He pulled a bandana from his pocket, he carried it for it he ever needed it. Usually as a wrap or sorts if and when he hurts a wrist while working... But he hadn't hurt himself so it was clean... He started wrapping the hand taking care to wrap it securely but not to tightly.
When he finished he looked up at him, smiling softly, "There, that should help... It's not the best... but it should hold until you can get to a doctor..."
