Eric and Umbreon were walking out of their hotel where they had spent the night. It was a rather awful place, with poor service, little to no water, not even those complimentary little mints on the pillow. Sure, some things were understandable with the Rockets causing so much trouble, but no little mints. What was the world coming to? The two started walking down the sidewalk with the morning sun emerging and the a warm summer wind was picking up, the people started out their days. Some getting to whatever place they called work, others began their daily routine of begging on the street. Umbreon did his morning routine of his stomach growling, rather loudly.
"Good idea, let's get some food."
They strolled around a corner and spotted a small fruit vendor across the road. "Alright, you know what to do." Umbreon walked up to the fruit cart and, while trying to look as cute and pathetic as possible, started sniffing the various foodstuffs. "Why, hello. Aren't you just the cutest little Absol? What can I do for you?" The fruit vendor giggled at his joke of providing service to a pokémon while Umbreon stared at him with condescending eyes. "I'm not an Absol, you idiot." Umbreon thought to himself, then he quickly grabbed an apple in his mouth and ran off. "Hey! What do you think you're doing!?" The vendor yelled as Eric snuck up behind him and grabbed a handful of other fruits while he was distracted. Eric then ran off in the opposite direction, he had no qualms stealing from the man because he had seen him giving extra foods to the Rockets before.
Eric met up with Umbreon under a large tree a little ways away. "Ha ha, that was great!" Eric laughed and tossed Umbreon another apple and started peeling an orange with one of his knives. They still had a banana and some grapes left also. "So, what should we do today you think?"

(I will apologize now if this ends up completely horrible and you may feel free to ignore it if it ends up that bad >->;; )
Sage sighed a bit heavily. His back was aching. It had been a long and hard night at the restaurant. He was asked by a co-worker to take her over-night shift. And after working their all day the previous day, he was ready to just drop like a rock. Seriously he shouldn't of taken her shift, but she sounded so desperate, and it wasn't in Sage to just say no. The downside, the boss said he could work it, but it was unapproved time and a half, so he didn't get anything extra for all the extra hours, just his normal pay rate. Oh well.
Sage was nearly dead on his feet that he didn't even notice the irate vendor still cursing up a storm about stolen goods nor realized the few things getting thrown about. Well, that is, until he was hit by a flying apple. Sage winced ducking his head a bit to rub the sore spot as he turned looking. He now paid attention to the ranting. Really. Someone stole some of his stuff, so now he was just throwing things every which way? Made no sense to him.
Sage decided it best to go the other way, which he did, just meant more walking until he could get home. He grumbled a bit, hands in his pockets, fingers lightly tracing over Doduo's poke ball. Really stupid rule.. He wanted Dody with him always, and not just in some stupid poke ball!
Sage took a deep breath and sighed trying to relax himself. He didn't need to get worked up over a law that didn't seem to have any sign of changing. Really he should probably just start following the rockets. He's never really done anything to the rebel cause. The most "rebellious" thing he did time to time was let Dody loose to run about and stretch his legs. He didn't even know any other rebels, so what was the point in trying to do anything against them? Heck where he worked was even a rocket hotspot, and he did get along with quite a few of them.
Sage kept walking, lost in his thoughts, he didn't even realize where he ended up, All he knew was there was now grass beneath his feet and it felt nice compared to the hard cement of side walks. Maybe he could relax out here for awhile before trying to get home. It was nicer in the bit of wild areas that were left about the place. He vaguely heard a voice and it made him grow pause. Listening he caught the ending of "So, what should we do today you think?" Sage blinked. There were others here? He hesitated, hand on his poke ball, ready to make a quick get away with Dody if he needed to. Really Doduo was a fast runner, not outmatched by many. He took a breath, and decided, my as well be social, it could be a rocket which didn't bother him, he knew a good bunch of them from where he worked anyhow...
Slowly walking closer, Sage took a breath as his eyes landed on the guy, with... a pokemon out... It looked to be a small black one, he's never seen one before so he didn't know what it was, "H-hello?" he called out a bit nervously.

"Oh look, now he's throwing his food away." Eric sat down next to Umbreon and laughed at the shop clerk in between bites of his orange. Perhaps the local pokémon or beggars around the city could use the food, stealing and doing something nice, it was win-win. Eric then heard someone attempt to greet them from behind the tree but it sounded like the person was unsure of what he wanted to say. Eric turned and saw a rather thin, nervous and kind of messy person behind them. Messy like he'd been working and probably hadn't slept all night. Umbreon barely even considered him a threat but stopped eating and stared at the man all the same.
"Uhh, hi. Can I help you?"
Eric was unsure what this person could possibly want, they hadn't done anything too illegal yet, no one seemed to see them take the food. But this kid didn't really look like a rocket anyway. And he didn't really look built to be a rebel. Eric noticed he kept his one hand in his pocket and seemed to be holding something, maybe he had some weapon since he didn't look very strong. If he was going to try to attack the two, it was going to make for an intersting morning.

Sage moved, slowly stepping around the tree a bit to better see the pair. "Sorry to intrude... Just heard you talking.. figured I'd say Hi.." he managed a soft smile. Really he had no reason for coming up to the two... His finger lightly traced his pokeball, seeing the other pokemon, he sighed, "Would... you mind if I let my Dody out?" If this other was a rocket, he would tell him no--he knew rockets were 'above' that one rule and could have theirs out without fear of getting in trouble it seemed. So he wanted to ask first. Really, he didn't want any more trouble with rockets.. He really didn't. He was ready to just keep his head down if not actually join them.
[sorry its short]

The man moved closer and Umbreon tensed up but Eric held him back, for now. "Oh, well hi." Eric didn't really know what else to say since people didn't usual just walk up to them. Then the man said something about letting out his...Dody? Was that some weird new pokémon the rockets transported from one of those new regions? Or maybe it was whatever weapon he was holding, but it wouldn't be very smart to ask permission to pull out a weapon. Or it could've been something much much worse that Eric preferred not to think about. But Umbreon was here and Eric was already holding one of his knives so maybe it would be safe to just let this kid what he wanted, within reason, maybe then he would leave. "Umm, sure you can let your...Dody...out just, over there."

Sage watched the other, feeling more and more nervous as time went by. Maybe he should just turn and leave, no need to relax here and get himself hurt for some reason. But eventually permission was given and he nodded, he smiled a bit, "Thanks" he turned, and pulled his hand out of the pocket, and soon enough, Doduo was out of his pokeball. The two headed bird shook out before starting to make laps around the tree the other man sat with his own pokemon...
Sage smiled apologetically, "Sorry.. Dody doesn't get out much these days.." he knew Dody wouldn't try to hurt them--if anything happened it'd be an accident from the hyperactive bird trying to burn up some pent up energy.

The man relaxed a little bit, so now he didn't seem like a nervouse wreck. He also released his Dody, which turned out to be a simple Doduo, strange name though. Eric also relaxed as it seemed this man had no weapons on him, and his pokémon seemed more interested in running around aimlessly than fighting. Umbreon and Eric went back to eating. "You know most rockets don't care much for that no pokémon thing, only the pathetic ones trying to feel big. Trying to control other people and their pokémon." Eric never had any trouble with the rockets for just having Umbreon out, but then again he was only one guy with only one pokémon.

Sage blinked, but smiled softly, giving the faintest of nods... "My name is Sage by the way.." he moved, to sit where he was standing, since he was tired after pulling the double shift, and he didn't want to just make space for himself under the tree with the others, not wanting to really impose on him.
He leaned back onto his hands relaxing, letting his eyes close for a moment. Really it was so nice out today, he could just fall asleep sitting here! He forced his eyes open however and looked over, offering another smile, "Perhaps... But I don't want to step on any toes and get into trouble."

The man now identified as Sage introduced himself. To which Eric replied with an uninterested "Mm-hmm" But now he sitting down near them and it look like he was planning on leaving anytime soon. He also seemed to be very afraid of the rockets, even though a Doduo could probably peck out their eyes quite easily, one head for each eye. "The only reason the rockets have any power is because people allow them." Eric felt a bit sorry for the kid, he looked horrible to be honest. Eric tossed him the banana and split the grapes between him and Umbreon. "Here, you look like you need this."

Sage shrugged slightly, but soon jumped looking down at the banana in his lap. He laughed softly, but smiled warmly, "Thanks.." he really wasn't that hungry... "But you sure you don't want it? I'm just worn out from a double shift at work." he chuckled a bit. Offering a warm smile as he tilted his head to a side looking up at Dody as he finally came over to nudge his face. He moved to sit up some more a hand reached up to pet the head that was bugging him for attention. "I've never seen you before.." he commented softly to the other, not sure if he didn't like not getting a name in return... "Did you just get to the city?" he asked curiously.

A double shift at work? That was nothing, Eric himself had just returned from a little rebel work in Lavender Town and was not really in the mood for random city people to start bothering him. Especially now that he was asking more questions about him. "I...just got back from some work, I travel a lot for my job." Eric finished his food and got up to leave, Umbreon decided to leave half of his apple for the Doduo. "Well nice meeting you." Eric turned and started to walk away down the city with Umbreon following close behind, glad to have ended that pointless conversation.
OOC Well you can follow Eric I guess and I think we need something interesting happening now! Thorn?

(Rofl I guess I could XD I could say he headed in the direction Sage needs to go to get home)
Sage blinked, seeing the other guy leaving.. HE sighed, he never got a name, so much for a new friend. He moved, slowly standing, brushing the grass off his pants, then looked to Dody, he smiled, and the bird seemed to notice, and Sage couldn't help but laugh as the two heads bickered over the apple. Really, only one of the two heads liked fruits, but when there was only one thing they always argued.
Sage stepped over, lifted the half of apple, and broke it into two peices, giving one to each of the heads. Then he also opened, and split the banana in half, letting both heads have half of it. He smiled petting the pokemon but sighed, "You have to go back now, I'm sorry." Dody looked so sad.. Sage hated putting him back in the pokeball.
Sage pulled Doduo back into his ball and then turned to head home, what he didn't realize it was in the same direction that the other guy went, and he didn't realize it would seem like he was following him.

Eric and Umbreon started walking down the street and Eric could hear someone else walking behind them. From a look by Umbreon he knew it was that Sage person following them. So that must have been why he went up to them so nervously and so quickly introduced himself, he must have been hired to by someone to follow them. While it would've been quite easy deal with him, Eric didn't really feel like fighting so early in the morning and so he decided to turn and walk down the residential area of the city. Surely no one would fight with so many civilians and witnesses around. Still Umbreon paid close attention to their surroundings and Eric was prepared to pull out his knives at any provocation and they began to increase their pace.

Sage released a sigh, a hand rubbing his forehead, he was seriously ready to get home and get to sleep. It's been a long day. He wondered if there was something wrong with him that he's still had yet to really make any friends in town here. Oh well. He shrugged it off as he continued onward to his home. The apartment was near by, now that he was reaching the residential area. Soon he'd be home, and be able to get some rest!

Eric saw that Sage had also followed them down to the residential area, if he was a rocket then he was being pretty risky trying to fight him here. If he was just following Eric, waiting to signal someone, well then anyone walking around could be ready to attack or try to catch Eric. It was true that he was pretty high on the rockets' wanted list after all.
Eric and Umbreon stopped and turned around to face Sage and Eric took out one of his knives and pointed it at him. "Alright, what do you want? Who hired you to follow me? I assure you Mr.Sage, it's not a good idea to fight me."
